Dear Counsel community,
Wherever you are, we hope you are well.
Tomorrow was the planned launch of our second iteration of the COUNSEL project. When we launched the call for submissions earlier this year, we were so keen to build on the momentum and interest of our first show, extend the reach, and feature more stories. Your stories.
With the impacts of COVID-19, the police killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Regis Korchinski-Paquet, Jason Collins, Eisha Hudson, D'Andre Campbell, and far too many others, we are taking the time to refocus on how COUNSEL can actively contribute to healing of the wounds created by white supremacy, racism, and discrimination, and how the project itself can be more intentionally anti-racist.
All of your submissions represent a diversity and intersectionality that we are thrilled to showcase. We want to share that we are going to release the publication later this year, so that we can take some time for reflection, and really think about how this project heals, connects, and advocates.
If you have any questions, please reach out. We'll be back in touch very soon.
Best,
The COUNSEL team
